Keep it respectful
Momentum Football is for people aged 16 and over. We want it to be a place where everyone feels welcome, whether you run a marathon or your first kilometre.
Our community rules
Be kind
No harassment, bullying, hate or threats.
Keep it clean
No sexual or explicit content, and nothing violent or dangerous.
Be real
No impersonation, spam or scams.
Respect others' work
Only post what you have the right to share.
Report and block, anywhere
Tap the ••• button on any friend post, coach post, coach page or person in Friends. Choose Report to tell us what is wrong, or Block so you and that person can't see each other's posts or stories. Stories have their own report button too. Reports are confidential.
What we do about it
We aim to review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks the rules is removed, and accounts that keep breaking them are suspended or closed. A language filter stops obvious slurs and threats before they are posted. We act on serious reports, such as threats or any sexual content involving a minor, straight away, and we cooperate with police and the eSafety Commissioner.
Your privacy and control
Posts go to you and your accepted friends, not the public. Stories disappear after 24 hours. Only the poster can see who viewed a post. Posts show the shape of your route, never a map, your start point or your address. You can unblock people in Settings, then Blocked people, and delete your account and all your data at any time in Settings, then Delete account.
Age and young people
You must be 16 or older to use Momentum Football, in line with Australia's social media minimum age law. We ask you to confirm your age when you sign up. If you are a parent or carer and think a child under 16 has an account, email support@momentumfootball.app and we will act promptly. The eSafety Commissioner's parent resources are a good place to start.
Run safely
Choose well-lit, familiar routes, tell someone where you are going, stay aware of traffic and wear gear that makes you visible. Training plans are general fitness information, not medical advice; see a doctor before starting a new program and stop if you feel unwell. Be careful about what your posts reveal: avoid posting from your home or sharing your regular times and places in captions.
Get help
If someone is in danger
Call Triple Zero (000) for police, fire or ambulance. For non-urgent police matters, call 131 444.
Online abuse and image-based abuse
You can report serious cyberbullying, image-based abuse (sharing intimate images without consent) and illegal or harmful content to the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au/report. You do not have to wait for us first.
